A Florida teacher has been fired for giving her students zeros for missing assignments.
Diane Tirado has been a teacher for years. Most recently, she was an eighth-grade history teacher at Westgate K-8 School in Port St. Lucie, Florida.
Diane recently gave her students two weeks to complete an Explorer notebook project, but several students simply didn’t hand it in. Since there was zero work done, Diane gave them zeros.
She got fired for it.

So wrong to fire a teacher for doing something right. That stupid policy should not be in existence anyway. No work = a zero. Always has, always will.
Now do see why we need to replace the ENTIRE SCHOOL SYSTEM. Starting with the UNION. Then the SCHOOL BOARD. I guess this is the LIBUTARD DEMOCRAT agenda.

Sad state of affairs in our educational system . The media and govt (other than pres Trump) want to dumb down our populous so they can control us.
Way back in the dark ages when I was in school, our teachers always gave us zeros for work not done or completed. It taught us to do our work and finish the job and take some responsibility for what was expected of us. Something that is not being taught anymore, and it sure shows.
Sounds about right for things today. Wish I could say I am surprised.
A lesson in life for students is: if you don't do your job, you don't get paid. Don't do it often enough and you get fired. Pretty simple.
The parent's of the student's that earned 0's should thank the teacher by standing up for her and request (demand) the teacher be reinstated for a job well done.
Who is failing here? the kids or the school? sounds like both to me.
Parents need to sue the school board for not teaching their kids.

This happens all the time. Students thinking they can get good grades for doing nothing because they think they are entitled. Know who I mean?
