“As the Shutdown was going on, Nancy Pelosi asked me to give the State of the Union Address. I agreed. She then changed her mind because of the Shutdown, suggesting a later date. This is her prerogative,” Trump wrote in a tweet a little after 11 p.m.
“I will do the Address when the Shutdown is over. I am not looking for an alternative venue for the SOTU Address because there is no venue that can compete with the history, tradition and importance of the House Chamber,” he added.

The art of the deal obviously means to cave when anyone pushes back. They always say if you stand up to a bully they will back down. This guy isn’t a leader he’s just a blowhard bully

He didn't have. It appears that he did however by not giving the State of the Union in the Senate would lessen his status as President of the United States. That is what the Dems want. Postponing it can happen only once before American turns on Pelosi. My opinion. Trump needs our back people.
