A Massachusetts state senator is calling on the state legislature to appropriate state funds to pay U.S. Coast Guard personnel stationed in Massachusetts during the partial federal government shutdown.
More than 2,000 active-duty and reserve personnel of the Coast Guard are being forced to work during the shutdown without getting paid for it, according to the Salem News.
State Senator Diana DiZoglio (D-Methuen) filed the bill, which calls for sending the federal government a bill after the shutdown for whatever amount the state pays out, according to the Salem News.

Of course a Liberal female Democrat would think of something as stupid as that.
Why just the Coast Guard? Because she doesn't know that there are other U.S. Military and Federal workers in Massachusetts. She is just grandstanding.
The state of Romneycare.
Figures it was a female Democrat!
I'm sure any bill they want to claim it's for the workers will have a lot of BS waste in it also.
Actually she filed it alongside a male Republican Senator and a male member of the reserves. They filed it TOGETHER because every other military branch is getting paid but the Coast Guard.... who is a branch of the military. It’s a public safety issue. Shame on you for immediately jumping to the woman Democrat card. She’s one of the most bipartisan people in the legislature... do your research. Real classy w the “stupid” comments. There is nothing stupid about paying our servicemen and women who protect and serve.
