I didn't have cable on Election Day 2016, but my TV package did include CNN, and so that's what we watched in my house that night. As the night progressed and it was clear that Donald Trump was about to pull off a stunning upset, it was amusing to see the election night panel desperately trying to explain to the audience Hillary's potential paths to victory. It was impossible for them to hide their shock and dismay. Van Jones looked on the verge of tears, and I'm surprised none of them spontaneously combusted.
Without a doubt, CNN has repeatedly proved itself to be an anti-Trump network. They were before the election, they were on Election Day, and they have been ever since. Unlike past Republican presidents who have been treated unfairly by the mainstream media, President Trump has not been shy about calling them out on it.
For example, this tweet from August of this year:
"Unable to function" is probably an understatement. As Trump continued his attacks on the media, particularly CNN, the narrative of a constitutional crisis evolved. Trump criticizing the media, particularly CNN, was somehow an attack on the free press! Can you imagine? Calling out bias is apparently unconstitutional in the eyes of the media talking heads.

I say the same thing Obama said. If I watched CNN I’d hate Trump too. CNN saying over 200 times a day “impeach him”. The most horrible thing was when they imbedded the thought that he should be assinated. When I heard intelligent people repeating that I fully understood the power of the media as propagandists. It’s sickening.
Lets not pretend that Obama's and Trump's treatment of the media are the same thing. They are not even in the same ball park.
Fox news was a 24-7 anti Obama propaganda machine, lets not pretend it wasn't.
Not that CNN is any better... it's just par for the course. CNN is liberal leaning, but it's no where near skewed as Fox, Oan, or MSNBC. Not even close. They were considered more credible. Trump knew he wouldn't pass their litmus test and literally went to war with them.
His "fake news" moniker is dangerous. It swiftly allows anyone to dismiss any reporting they don't like or that contradicts their presumptions. Even if the reporting is credible.
What is coming from Trump vs Obama is not remotely similar in the slightest.
For the record, I am NOT an Obama supporter, I'm republican AND voted for Trump. I AM interested in transparency, honesty, and truth... also consistency.

Beat that dead horse Libs. WHO CARES? Fix something why dontcha, don't b*tch about voting results. Pass something decent in Congress rather than crying about a reporters creds.
Sheesh folks. Just tee'ing it up for 2 years from now!
