Senate Democrats sue Trump to block Matt Whitaker's appointment as acting attorney general

Senate Democrats on Monday sued President Trump to block his decision to name Matthew Whitaker as acting attorney general.

Sens. Richard Blumenthal, D-Conn., Sheldon Whitehouse, D-R.I., Mazie Hirono, D-Hawaii, filed the lawsuit in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia on Monday. In the 17-page complaint, Democrats said Whitaker’s appointment by Trump earlier this month violates the Appointments Clause of the Constitution.

The clause requires that the Senate confirm high-level federal government officials, including the attorney general, before they exercise the duties of the office.

Mat Whitaker is the best thing that has happened to the AG office in a long time. Ask yourself why are the Democrats so dead set against him. What do they have to hide. He is only Acting AG. After we will get rid of useless Mueller. If you can't find any conlussion in 2 years then it is a Witch hunt and it must end now. What does it take. Can an American petition work. If so let's start it. Anyone know?

Demoncrats are so deranged by Trump being President they cant figure out how to do ANYTHING to Make America Great, they are only worried about stalling, impeaching, and hindering him from what he has set out to do, which thankfully for the most part what he has done. Trump is truly trying to Make America great again!
