Rep.-elect Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) posted a tweet on Sunday evening comparing the migrant caravan members attempting to illegally cross the U.S. border to Jewish families fleeing persecution during the Holocaust.
The 29-year-old self-described Democratic Socialist referred to the hundreds of migrants attempting to rush the border at the San Ysidro port of entry in San Diego, California, on Sunday, saying the migrants are no different from the Jews who fled persecution in Nazi Germany:

Keep on voting such disgraceful candidates into office. We have a caravan of candidates coming in as we speak. How many of them will be U.S.politicians? Wake up children!
The Honduran and Guatemalan governments are rounding up their citizens and gassing then and putting them in prison camps and incinerating them after taking all their money and property? I hadn't seen that in the media, wonder why? Cause it's not happening. Her parents wanted a lot of money on her lack of education. Since she cant afford housing in DC, maybe she can take the time to visit the Holocaust museum and learn about why the Jews fled their homes.

She unseated a very senior congressman in a primary with very few voters. The district would vote for Stalin, Mao or Hitler if they were on the Democrat ticket; instead they got her.
Once she finds a room for her boyfriend and her in DC she'll have to start providing constituent service to a bunch of inner city New Yorkers. Her career to this point consisted of serving food and drinks.
She's up for reelection in 23 months; the primary will be several months before that. Should be non-stop comic gold until then. Buy popcorn in bulk.
