In a series of tweets Wednesday morning O’Malley, a Democrat, accused Gov. Larry Hogan, a Republican, of corruption and running a “Real Estate racket.” In one message O’Malley compared Hogan, who was elected in 2014, to the late Spiro Agnew.
Agnew served as Baltimore County executive, Maryland governor, and vice president in President Richard Nixon’s administration. He later resigned as vice president after taking a plea deal involving one count of failing to report income on his federal taxes.
A spokesman for the Hogan campaign declined to comment on O’Malley’s tweets.

If any Maryland Governor prior to Trump, had made himself a double millionaire while in office with a land and permit assembly business, the newspapers and special prosecutor would be all over him.
Hogan founded commercial real estate services firm The Hogan Cos. in 1985, according to the firm’s website. The companies claim they’ve completed $2 billion in real estate deals and been involved in the development of 35,000 acres of land in the mid-Atlantic.

Hogan really has no one running against him that can beat him. If the Democrats were worried about his being a millionaire and how he got his money they should have found someone to run against him instead of the group of lame candidates that did. I am a registered Democrat but I can not vote for a man who doesn’t even know what State he is running in so Hogan will get my vote.
Maybe Hogan will have more class than O'Malley when he leaves office and not steal all of the furniture from the taxpayers like Mr. Rain tax. Hogan has done more for MD than O'Malley ever dreamed of...

7:57 - I stand corrected. My memory was a little off - I do remember hearing O'Malley bought the furniture from the State House. The taxpayers paid full price for it and he was able to purchase the furniture when he left for pennies on the dollar somehow. As I recall it wasn't available to the highest bidder or to any MD taxpayer for purchase...My point was that he has the nerve to call Hogan out when he himself has been involved in shady deals. As a taxpayer I felt it was corruption and theft based on what I read.
Retired state employees don't want O'Malley in any office again. I have heard he is planning to run for President.
