Trump didn't owe the media a show over John McCain's death

The Washington media love superficial displays and meaningless gestures in politics, so naturally they were offended that President Trump didn’t write a poem and have a public cry about the passing of Arizona Sen. John McCain.

McCain didn’t want Trump at his funeral, he cast the critical vote to keep Obamacare intact, and in 2015 he referred to Trump’s supporters as “the crazies.”

The decent thing for anyone who would have been in Trump’s place after McCain died Saturday would be to keep your mouth shut.

Better for President Trump to show class and keep his silence than to act like McCain's daughter showing her ignorance today by going off. She is so fake and it did show. When you really cry there are tears, remember that Megan.

John McCain died a bitter man. There is a part of me that wants to blame it on his brain tumor, but I think not. The fact that he did not invite Sarah Palin, tells me he is spiteful. I believe that he resented the fact that Trump, a business man, was able to accomplish something that he could not with a lifetime in the political arena. However nothing speaks bitterness more than to have family and other politicians spew your hatred toward a man that you never tried to work with. I pray that you and your family find peace, so sad.

find peace? which family? the one he left or the other one? he got what he wanted, her millions and a lifetime of killing people! yeah great life! pos!

F the media and F John McCain. McCain was a traitor to this Country in Vietnam and he was a traitor to the end.

If McCain was a "true American Hero" as the media is falsely portraying and a true Republican then the Leftwing NUT Media would be ignoring him. They are only rubbing it in the faces of America because President Trump called him out during the Primary Race. The media is only getting their digs in on him because they working overtime to get Americans to hate him.

When you see Liberals praising McCain and calling him a hero on their FB pages you know they don't understand his history and they are falling for the media's agenda hook, line and sinker.

It's funny watching the RINO's like Larry Hogan trying to claim he and McCain were friends. They only met one time and now they are lifelong friends of the McCains. I'm pretty sure McCain wouldn't have remembered what state RINO Larry from.

Americans need to do a better job of educating themselves and quit watching CNN and MSNBC.

I was taught to never speak ill of the dead or if you can't say something nice, then don't say anything at all. And no,I was not a McCain supporter, but then I was never held prisoner by North Korea and tortured. Just let him RIP.

Ya'll are so blinded by your devisive partisanship.

This was an opportunity for bringing Americans together, to put aside differences and to celebrate a great patriot, a soldier, and a public servant.

And TRUE LEADERS stood up and honored a great man... recognizing their differences, and the friendships they had. This was a leadership opportunity.

Some leaders acted like leaders, and some officials took their toys and went home to pout and throw tantrums.

So, it's a good day, and a bad day for America. Sometimes, you have to be the bigger man than you want to be.... some of them rose to the occasion, and others didn't.... and unfortunately that shame is being "damage controlled" through articles like this one.

The bigger thing to do, the right thing to do, would be to humble himself (you know who I'm talking about) and admit that he acted impulsively, and act like a leader does... like the other leaders who set the example for him.

Bitter? Like playing golf during a Congressman/veteran/pow's funeral?

Non stop Megan coverage and he had 7 kids?

Funny it was ok for Obama’s to ignore the funeral of a decorated General and play golf instead. And that was his choice. It’s all about politics even at a funeral. Shows Trump has lots more class than the left

Trump celebrated from the white house, you know where Presidents live. Don't think McCain ever lived there.

1:41...I read Going Rouge written by Palin, so I am aware how she was treated during the campaign. I voted for the old man while not wanting to, but there was no other choice and I supported Palin. I have heard mention for some time that the old dude didn't want President Trump at his funeral and understand why the good president wouldn't want to go after the old man voted against POTUS on the crap care bill from the before failed administration. What I don't get is, did the old man say he didn't want Gov. Palin there? I've never heard of being invited to a funeral to start with. If you plan on going..go.

1:41 very well said. I had the same thoughts. May he R.I.P. And may his family learn to remain silent. Even Sarah Palin has shown more respect than others with her silence.

McCain knew he was dying and took every minute he had to criticize President Trump and the Republicans. He was a very angry man, since he lost the Presidential run and every one found out the true actions of his disasters against America and turned vindictive to Republicans. He turned Democrat. The McCain Family showed their ignorance and that they have "NO" class.
