Nashville Mayoral Candidate: One Armed Patron Could Have Made a Difference at Waffle House

Nashville mayoral candidate Carol Swain responded to the April 21 Waffle House shooting by noting how much difference even a single armed patron could have made.

Four persons were injured and four killed when Travis Reinking allegedly opened fire inside an Antioch, Tennessee, Waffle House.

Waffle House has a gun-free policy that prohibits patrons, including licensed permit holders, from being armed for self-defense.

Swain spoke to the Tennessee Star about the attack, saying, “Today’s shooting shows how important it is to have well trained and armed citizens in the community. If one of the patrons had been armed, the situation may have turned out differently and lives could have been saved.”

WH doesn't know if you are carrying if the weapon is properly concealed. Could have made a difference but the unarmed man with a strong survival mode disarmed the gunman.

So true, and not only here but in most mass shooting scenarios.

But, we are saying this to Democrats, Communists, and Rino's. They can't see past their own agendas to understand Logic.

It's a daily shame.

It also stands to reason that a person with 2 arms could have prevented the crime if that person had a weapon with which to defend himself and others. Actually having 2 arms would have been a real plus in this case.

The "what if" will not resolve the issue of gun violence in this country. This country history of violence started way back when your white ancestors colonized this nation. I'm just glad there was a man willing enough and had the courage to stop this punk azz coward piece of a boy with his own bare hand ending this carnage. Praying for the families who lost a love one.
