Salisbury, MD – Mayor Day is proud to announce that, in an effort to continue the investment in our neighborhoods, the City Field Operations team will be demolishing the current structure at 711 E Isabella Street to make room for new development. The property in question has been abandoned for over five years and is currently unfit for human occupancy. This redevelopment is part of an ongoing effort to make the Church Street neighborhood a safer, more welcoming area for its residents.
E. Isabella will be closed between Linwood and Davis from 9am-4:30pm.

Great, it'll be a prettier drug hub.... until that's inevitably trashed too. Why don't you invest money where it matters? Like the schools.
And the beat goes on!
This is a positive step....get rid of these useless buildings, regardless of a few dollars for destruction! Continue to clean up our City!!!!
WHAT?!?!?!?!
Joe what do you think about the Town of Fruitland allowing this Liberal Whacko- Allison Galbraith who is running against Andy Harris to hold her "Meet and Greet" in the taxpayers City Hall?? Let's give this some attention and put a stop to it. Andy doesn't take advantage of municipal governments to run his campaign.

Yea that's where I would look to develop 700 block east Isabella in area of Davis and Linwood. That's some fine real estate right there
So, the dealers and pimps will have better housing?
STILL owned by slumlords, just getting a better rate now.
Taxpayer funded.
Cheer on, cheerleaders.
Maybe because they're county schools, not city schools?
People walk away from these properties (or die). They become not only eyesores, but hazards to the community. Nobody wants them, so what to do?
Well tear them down 1236...issues is our money being used to pay for the emptiness for probably someone walking away. Then, tearing it down cost $$$$ (ours) then an inexperience boy wants to build new development (again $$$$$$ which is ours) for a pie in the sky idea.
Boooooooooooooooo!
That money would be better used by the city to pay its existing bills!! Including what they owe the county!!
How's the "new" contractor doing on the main Street project?
New Gang and Drug Headquarters. What is Day's kickback? Just glamourizing the crime infested ghetto.
Is that an historic property?
