Gov. Hogan Talks About Trump's Re-election and His Own

As tries to become the first Republican governor of Maryland to win re-election in 64 years, Larry Hogan is maintaining his celebrated distance from Donald Trump and even questioned whether the president will seek re-election in 2020.

Hogan spoke to Newsmax during a break at the National Governors Association meeting in Washington, D.C.

Reminding Hogan that he had publicly refused to endorse his party's nominee for president in 2016 and did not even vote for Trump, Newsmax asked the Free State governor whether he would support Trump for re-election?

"Are you certain he's going to run for re-election?" Hogan shot back with a wink.

Hogan, 61, then pointed out he and the president "have always had good relations" since the election and that Vice President Mike Pence served with him on the NGA while governor of Indiana "and is a longtime friend."

"So when I disagree with the administration, I won't be out protesting," said the governor, underscoring that his disagreements with the administration are often lodged quietly or privately.

as always the swamp creatures are worthless and weak. Hogan goes with the flow of hate against this OUTSTANDING president. voting in MD is really not worth the effort since it will be the same old communist party line. I am actively looking to sell and move out ASAP, Since i have no representation in this state

I may be forced to vote for the good governor again, but this attitude he has for our president is disappointing.

Hogan Strong!
Prayers still with you sir!

Yeah, we are going to have many years of a democratic governor since you people won't support Hogan. Nice!

Great ...lets bash Hogan and get a good Democrat in .
The hate for anyone who disagrees with Donald Trump exceeds common sense.
But that is okay. Hate usually fails

Forget you Hogan!!!! Get the hell out of MD...

7:29 good luck find any representation in any other state!!! You fail to realize this is on the national level, which is why I urged to all lazy f's to get off your asses and do something before it got bad... NOPE you are under the believe it will never affect you, even though it has, does and will continue to...

But even you will see this in your new state!!!! then what??? move again and again and again?

He is and will always be my governor. I have followed him since his days at Change Maryland.

He was wrong on the tear down of confederate statues and rejecting Trump, and I'll still support Hogan. For the first time in a long while I'm proud of this state and not just saying I'm from the Eastern Shore.

Remember, it is hard being a Republican in this state of idiots.

5:39, 7:34 All for the game of politics. Hogan is a Rino but he beats a progressive. We are a extremely blue state. The only way to change that is to change the State Congress. Work on that

Yeah he is everything mentioned above - but its no pickin's with the crap that want's to run against him. Worse than ALL the chicken crap here on the shore!

I'll stick with Hogan - he's manageable!

I won't vote for Hogan again. Fool me once, shame on him. Fool me twice, well shame on me. Won't happen. We gave him a chance to rock the Democrat's boat in Maryland, and instead he got in bed with the Democrats. Now Hogan thinks we are going to give him another chance? Fat chance of that. The democrats in Maryland are not going to vote for him a second time, and the Republicans are unlikely to even put him on the ballot a second time. He is a lame duck Governor, and his lack of support for OUR president and his agenda is not going unnoticed.
