Wicomico County Board of Education Work Orders

Update on heating issues through the county schools. There are many heating work orders that were put in on Tuesday that are still being addressed, I just want to let everyone know that the HVAC department is hard at work this morning. Remember we will be prioritize with the youngest students first we will be responding to you work orders, it just may take some time to get there. Thanks for you for understanding.

Are you kidding me? THAT is a document that the BOARD OF EDUCATION released to the public? The spelling and grammar are ATROCIOUS!!! Absolutely ridiculous for them to put something, that poorly written, out to the public. Disgusting.

1:21 you are ASSUMING this was meant for public communication and are 100% wrong.
Spelling and grammar aside, this was an internal quick memo sent to select individuals at the BOE ONLY.
Someone just sent it in to Sby News to try to create "issues" instead of maybe offering a couple helpful hands...

Even so, an “internal memo” should be written properly when addressing other employees and/or subordinates. Typical Democrat, make excuses instead of holding people to a standard.

Thanks to the person who responded at 7:50. You are the only one who does not sound like a jerk. The rest - go shovel your sidewalks.

Why would someone offer “helping hands” to fix heating issues at the Board of Education? Don’t we, as taxpayers, help enough through taxes? I don’t see the Board of Education offer “helping hands” to us as citizens. They don’t let us watch student athletes for free. Nope, pay $5.00. Quit being a victim. You know that this “internal memo” was ridiculously written, shows pitiful
writing skills and reflects poorly on the employees of an institution grounded in educating children. Quit making excuses and trying to defend it. This is the same mentality that teachers have. Everyone is a winner and everyone gets a trophy. This results in pushing people through school and into society without basic skills to survive in the real world. The person who wrote this memo is a prime example. Own it. There has to be a starting point where “enough is enough” and you have to push the reset button. I would expect the Board of Education to address it and publicly state that this is unacceptable. The BOE should let the public know that this is embarrassing and not indicative of their high standards. How hard is it to have something or someone proof read documents before they are disseminated. It’s awful funny that the public holds police and firefighters to a higher standard but educators get a pass. These are the people who are molding and teaching the children who are our future. Hold them to a higher standard. When children read these poorly written and grammatically incorrect memos from the BOE, it sends a dangerous message that this is acceptable. It doesn’t matter who wrote it. It comes out with the Board of Education name at the top of the page. Therefore, it is representative of the BOE.
