A Viewer Writes: Sunrise Communities, Walston Mobile Home Park

Not only is it extremely annoying every time you turn around there is something taped to your door, as well as no permission or notice that the park managers were going to be on the property you have paid rent on. I guess now they think they can dictate who visits and stays overnight with you, how long you need to take a shower, or if you can take a bath or not. Ridiculous! It’s not the septic they are concerned with, rather the total amount of gallons the park uses yearly. The laws that were past regarding septic systems on the Eastern Shore(save the bay) are ripping them a new one. Investors should of done their homework a little better before purchasing this park. From what I have learned if the park goes over a certain amount of gallons of water used in a certain time frame the state is going to make them install a central septic system for the entire park. Costly, why you think Steve sold her??? Now they seem to want to try and pass that buck to the city of Salisbury. Good Luck with that. What a joke these investors are. The managers here now, we’ll they are just clueless. Enough for now, my bath time.

i pay my rent i will how ever much water i think i need to do what i need to do. Its not my place to help you do your job. i pay my rent now do what you must to keep that water flowing into my lines,It your job to pay for the upgrades that we need. Now go suck eggs and keep my water flowing. This long long hot shower is gonna feel real nice.

Better to receive a letter like this instead of a rent increase to cover the additional cost! So go ahead use all you are "entitled" too and get ready for lot rent increase! It's your right go for it...LOL

Yeah use all the water you want and then when the system fails you will have to use a community port a pot to take a crap in for weeks on end it will exactly what you deserve. And when a new one is needed guess who will pay for it. You idiot by a rent increase. This is why no one can feel sorry for you people-you are a bunch of ignoramuses.

This park is now owned by the same investors from Florida that bought Cedarhurst and raised the rent to $395 per month at Cedarhurst and about $335 at Walston. Their lease says that they can seize and sell your trailer home without going to court if you don't pay rent on time.

I live in a house that area (not in the park), and the rain/snowfall we have had DOES cause septics to fill faster. When the ground is saturated the drainfield can not support excess moisture. Septic maintenance and care is expensive, especially if you have to put in a new one.

With that said, you have fun with “City” water and sewer. They can’t even build a treatment plant right! And just wait till that first water bill comes in. CHA-CHING! You’ll be wishing you had just conserved for a month.

You rent. You live on someone else's property. With no deed and only a title to very valueless trailer that would probably cost more to haul away than its worth as a home. You are stuck. The have adopted RV park policies. Gate,parking and visitor fees. You should have bought and acre of land. Your canned Tuna rotting.

Lot rent was already increased my septic was left open for over 2 months and never actually fixed just covered back up.. so yea I’m “entitled” to take give my 2 year old a bath.. maybe if they fixed things instead of just increasing lot rent and putting restrictions on everything people would be more understanding.. you don’t live here so you have no clue
