Fats Domino is dead at 89

Mr. Domino had more than three dozen Top 40 pop hits through the 1950s and early ’60s, among them “Ain’t It a Shame,” “I’m Walkin’,” “Blue Monday” and “Walkin’ to New Orleans.”
He carried both the particular spirit of his hometown, New Orleans, and a droll resilience that reached listeners worldwide.

He actually sang songs where you could understand the words and he didn't sing about killing, beating up "bitches" busting cap on "pigs", being in the "system", (did I mention beating up "bitches"??), moving "weight", or any of the glorious endeavors admired so much in the black culture.
Different role models and different results.

My mom who has passed met him one time in Exmore VA she said he was very nice. Rest in peace Fats.
