Bob Culver officially announces his candidacy for a second term as the Wicomico County Executive

As a Salisbury native, Bob is no stranger to most Wicomico County residents. Elected to his current position as County Executive in November 2014, he has spearheaded many initiatives to better serve the community with efficiency and cost-effective management principles. Before becoming Executive, he served in his first term in the Wicomico County Council’s At-Large position, starting in November of 2010. 

He was raised on his family’s farm and attended Wicomico County Schools. Starting at Pemberton Elementary school, Bob attended Wicomico Junior High and graduated from Wicomico High School in 1970.For his higher education studies, Bob attended Chowan University in Murfreesboro, North Carolina, where he received an Associate’s Degree in pre-law. At such time, he transferred back to the area, attending Salisbury State College in 1972, where he pursued a degree majoring in economics with a minor in business administration. 

In 1972, he started his career in real estate sales, after which he transferred over to owning his own construction and land development business. While at the helm of Culver Construction Company, Bob oversaw the creation of four subdivisions in the County, consisting of over 150 homes. As an entrepreneur, Bob has employed many Wicomico County residents through his various business interests – always giving back to his beloved hometown. 

Bob’s open-door policy welcomes residents to engage in a healthy dialogue with a goal to improve on the County’s services. As a civil servant to the residents of Wicomico County, he takes his position very seriously and is always seeking ways to improve and provide innovation to the area. Bob views his position as an honor and looks to create new opportunities that will benefit the residents, while continuing many time-honored Eastern Shore traditions. Making positive steps forward, Bob has a focus on doing what’s right for the people of Wicomico County.

Culver looks to be a sure thing.
Cannon WILL NOT primary Culver and without any real primary challenger Culver will be the Republican candidate.
Cannon only runs when he knows he has no competition. Just look back at his past runs for elected seat, they were all sure wins!
On top of that; Culver has done a good job managing the county - period - and that alone will ensure Cannon, or any other current county council member, thinks long and hard about throwing his hat in the ring.
Devoid of any new Democrat faces or ideas, the same old tired liberal ballot will guarantee Culver WIN!!!

What about his accounting scandal? Didn't PKS uncover possible fraud and he wouldn't allow any county employees to speak to the auditors?

11:05, thanks for the laugh. As our ole friend use to say..threw up in my lemonade. Where are you lemonade, hope you're okay? Anyway to think the Dunn cat would even make primary is funny as heck. We have see enough of that clown throwing a fit like the past mayor. Thanks again.
