Two Texas high school players have been thrown off their team after protesting during the national anthem, the Houston Chronicle reports.
Cedric Ingram-Lewis held his fist in the air while his cousin Larry McCullough took a knee during the playing of the anthem before the Victory & Praise Christian Academy took to the field on Friday night.
Head Coach Ronnie Mitchem, a former Marine and pastor, ordered them to take off their uniforms and threw them off the team when the anthem had ended, according to the Chronicle.
The coach had warned players he did not want anyone to kneel.
"He told us that disrespect will not be tolerated," Lewis said. "He told us to take off our uniform and leave it there."

Congratulations on your use of free speech and the right to protest. Here are your consequences since it was done while you represented another organization besides yourself.
Separation of church and state!
Respect the flag or else!
LOL
These guys are tricking everyone of us into WORSHIPPING a piece of cloth which represents a military of a ruthless blood sucking tyrannical government. The US government is so increbily evil that most people cannot fathom its crimes abroad and at home. The enemy is inside the gates folks . . . time to wake up and smell the facism.
THANK YOU COACH!!!!! Let that be a lesson to the little punks...and the big overpaid, spoiled, coddled BIG "professional" punks.
