Shortly after CNN does an interview where the were "flagged down" and help some elderly people out of their homes. Interesting how that works, huh?
What question to expect from the MSM if:
-your house or business burns down, is flooded to the rafters, or blows away;
-a beloved friend or relative or pet dies in a spectacular way;
-somebody calls you a name.
"Tell me, how do you feel about that?"
There were days of warnings prior to the storm to take necessary precautions and evacuate and she did not make any effort to do so. She did nothing to help herself or her children. Now, she is pi$$ed because it took too long for rescuers to help her. What a lazy, thankless POS.
1:29 PM Yea well, they were taking up 2 spots on the helicopters that could have gone to those in need just so they could get a story.
Sadly (for me) I am shocked how stupid these people are that they didn't pick up an extra loaf of bread, a jar of peanut butter, and a couple of jugs of water, to make it thru this disaster.
I have seen idiots here fill up with carts with perishables and laugh at their stupidity.
But really folks, this isn't the first hurricane and even tho we don't have stuff like that happen here, I still prepare as if it could so that I can survive and not have to rely on the guberment to tell me what to do.
If you have ever been to the effected areas you would have known that in order to get away from it all would be like picking up everything you have and driving to the Western most parts of Maryland this very minute and finding a place to stay along with over a million other people. Yes I've been there and yes I have many many friends there in Texas that are all doing what they can to survive and make it through this CATASTROPHIC storm. If I were the lady being interviewed I'd probably react in the same way think about it.
The areas effected are so larg that you can put Maryland in them many times no matter how prepared you may think you are you are still going to be in trouble. The magnitude of this hurricane and the damage it has done most of us could not imagine.
1:33 check your fact - there were warnings to evacuate in fact the Mayor encouraged citizens to shelter in place - it is very hard to predicate flooding not the actual hurricane. I would love to see how you would respond if we got flooding like that around here which is every year is becoming more and more of a possibility. Remember karma is the biggest meanest bitch of all!
2:27 PM Stupid comment, people are not expected to pick up "everything" and leave. Pack a bag and get out of dodge. There are hotels all over the place.
2:59 PM there were people with only ankle deep water complaining and expecting to be saved.
But let's go one step further. Single mom and not a clue how to navigate a disaster. Where was dad? Where is her extended family?
Its called personal responsibility, and a lot of people don't know what it is.
LOL you're right plenty of hotel's just down the street not a problem it's easy only a flood that happens once every 500 years you probably remember the last time it happened
Fact Houston metro area little over 10,000 square miles and 5.95 million people 24" plus rain.
Rhode island 8,500+- square miles population 1.1 million measurements 37miles wide X 48 miles long not flooded. That's only one small part of Texas.
Yeah and they doubled the price of goldfish too. Them there people's with no responsibility

Not everyone has the cash to just take off and drive who knows how far and have to pay for a hotel room which isn't cheap.
Sadly, most of the country is not prepared to care for their family during any weather disaster. People live paycheck to paycheck and never plan past the current week. If people would buy just a few extra supplies to put away for a crisis, they could maybe hold out for awhile until the waters recede. FEMA has a list of what to store for emergencies Go by the list so next time you are not waiting for someone else to come and provide for you.
338 don't be so naive. The shots you saw were of people in ankle deep water. What about further down the street? Maybe the roads getting to them were completely submerged. This is an earth shattering time for these people. I'll never understand why we have to tear each other down instead of working together and lifting each other up!
Nobody knew (including the mayor) that the military would blow this storm into such a monster!
The massive amount of particulate matter in the atmosphere made torrential downpours inevitable.
The solar radiation management program is very dangerous for populations and these excessive amounts of rain will continue until the geoengineering programs are halted.
Very sad.

I hope all of you who are condemning this woman and calling her a POS are well prepared for the hurricane force 5 hitting you next week.
