18 Republicans Fall in Line to Oppose Trump’s Elimination of DACA

The number of Republicans that are speaking publicly about their support for continuing the Obama-era amnesty program for people who were brought to the country illegally as children has reached 18.

Three Senate Republicans and 15 House members — including House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-WI) — are urging President Donald Trump to continue former President Barack Obama’s executive action, put in place in 2012, to give some 850,000 illegal aliens temporary legal status and work permits, at least until Congress can come up with immigration legislation to determine its fate.

Aside from Ryan, the other lawmakers who don’t want Trump to end DACA are: Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) – who voted against the Dream Act in 2010 that basically gave the same protections as DACA) – and Sens. Orin Hatch (R-UT), Thom Tillis (R-NC) and Jeff Flake (R-AZ); and Reps. Jeff Denham (R-CA), David Valadao (R-CA), Carlos Curbelo (R-FL), Mario Diaz-Balart (R-FL), Daniel Donovan (R-NY), Don Bacon (R-NE), Ileana Ros-Lehtinen (R-FL), Will Hurd (R-TX), Martha McSally (R-AZ), Scott Taylor (R-VA), Dave Reichert (R-WA), Dan Newhouse (R-WA), and John Faso (R-NY).

And most of these guys will be primaried out of their own states. Jeff Flake is going to have a major battle with Kelli Ward who will most likely win because she already has an endorsement from Trump. He met with her before the rally in Phx. So if they continue to buck the agenda, they will be removed. It's time we made Congress Great again!

These are The Traitors to Trump.

Those voting against it just want to kick the can farther down the road and are scared to do what ultimately has to be done. Why the hell don't those chickens come up with a plan that is acceptable to everyone, namely get the border wall built and then Trump has already said he will discuss the dreamers. God I hate Republicans that work against their own President.

Most listed are heavily Dem states.

DACA was created by Obama when Congress failed to act on reforming immigration policy. They need to do their job now! There's no excuse not to except looking at their own political careers.

Scott Taylor (R-VA) is a local Hebron, MD guy. He is a Fox Contributor and authored "Betrayed Trust". The book references the corrupt Hillary Clinton and crowd. I doubt this former Navy Seal is a RINO.

How do you deport someone to a country that they have never even visited?

We need compassion and logic, not knee-jerk emotionalism.

They are not Republicans, they are RINO's. How soon they forget why we the people voted for Trump.

All Trump has done is to make Congress do its job. Immigration reform is congress's job, not the president's. Of course, congressmen on both sides of the aisle are against anything that makes them responsible, and that they have to answer to their constituents why they voted one way or the other. Let's see how the opposers and critics of his decision vote when it is on them. All they have to do is re-instate DACA with a law passed by them, and then answer to their voters at election time. It's hilarious how congress doesn't want to deal with the job they are being paid to do. Throw them out, all of them, they are all corrupt.
