'The Drug Whisperer' | Drivers arrested while stone cold sober

Drunk driving arrests are down sharply after decades of aggressive enforcement, while drugged driving arrests are climbing.

Georgia now has more than 250 officers with special 'drug recognition expert' training.

But 11Alive News Chief Investigator Brendan Keefe discovered some drivers are getting arrested for driving stoned -- even when their drug tests came back clean.

Need to be sued for false arrest and illegal detention. May go through several appeals, but the taking of a person's liberty is a serious constitutional violation of their rights. Big money damages will put a stop to the practice.

This cop should be arrested for being high on his own ego.

No one on this site is smart enough to understand the "Final Destination" principle. At some point certain people were supposed to get caught driving drunk or on drugs but did not. That compensation will eventually occur.

There is nothing more accurate than blood and urine toxicology tests. To say that a "drug recognition expert's" roadside findings can override those lab results is too foolish to even consider. And any prosecutor or judge who takes officers' subjective testimony over objective lab findings shouldn't be working in the criminal justice arena.

Again, please THINK about what you say and write. The comment should be "they COULDN'T care less." As in, they don't care at all. When you say "they can care less", it says that people actually do care...more than a little. You're welcome for the English lesson.
