President Donald Trump on Friday used his weekly address on Facebook to tout the candidacy of Judge Neil Gorsuch for the Supreme Court, saying that his confirmation is much more than his "incredible qualifications."
"It's about preserving our Republic," Trump said.
In his 3-minute-plus address, Trump said Gorsuch will be the antidote to judges who have veered away from the Constitution.
"In recent years, we've seen more and more judges make decisions, not based on the Constitution or the rule of law, but based on their preferences, their personal views or even their political opinions," Trump said.
