SHA has replaced about 5-6 drain pipes crossing Old Ocean City RD, between Pittsville and Willards. These were replaced two weeks ago.
The road still has not been repaved. The fill is potholed out and there is a lot of loose stones and dust on the road.
How long is this going to be left like this chipping vehicles paint and possibly damaging windshields.
To me this is unacceptable. I live by one of these and it's just terrible.

Work was done last week, not two weeks ago.
Take rt 50.
The fill must settle if the road is paved right away the pavement will settle
Yeah & don't forget the pothole as you turn right off of 13 onto east main. It's just getting bigger. It's like this repeatedly because they don't know how to fix it. A shovel ful of the tarry stuff & a pat just doesn't do it. A sinkhole waiting to happen.
There are other routes.
This is always the excuse. If they use this excuse and want the public to believe it then keep the pot holes filled. They should have a small compactor that you walk behind and guide not a roller., but then the SHA workers would have to work instead of leaning on shovels or texting. What is the cost of constantly filling these pot holes or blacktopping these areas correctly. They can wait a year and there will be a dip in that area forever even after it is supposedly packed. They always think the public are the dumbest species on earth.
Are the asphalt plants open yet?
They may be waiting for that.

Some may have been done last week but the one near Woodyard road was done at least 2 weeks ago.
PAVE over the Damn spots NOW not later idiots !!!!
Everyone should sent the damn state a Bill for front end
alignments and tire balancing !!!
Should have Pave over NEXT Day ...it don't take long Dugh!
If they fill the areas with crusher run and use a jumping jack tamper there is no reason they couldn't be paved right away.
...going over a strip of gravel won't cause your tires to become unbalanced or for your front end to go out of alignment.
SHA is waiting to assemble a crew of 10 men to correct the situation.
I am glad that they decided to reopen some of the sections of road between Pittsville & Willards, as there were several sections were completely denied ingress and egress because of the road blocks and closures. I did not see any of this advertised either.
