Montgomery Co. officials vow to work with ICE in school rape case

ROCKVILLE, Md. — Following last week’s brutal rape at Rockville High School, Montgomery County officials are promising to cooperate with federal immigration authorities.

Evidently, both accused attackers are subjects of possible deportation. But despite the county’s promises, there are questions over its policy when it comes to federal immigration enforcement.

Montgomery County Executive Ike Leggett says news of the violent rape in a school restroom on Thursday made him feel “sick and disgusted,” and, in a written statement, Leggett said that following any criminal conviction and sentencing on the charges, “the county — consistent with our long-standing policy — will cooperate fully with ICE to see that the two are deported to their countries of origin.”

Immigration and Customs Enforcement says a detainer has been lodged against Henry Sanchez, 18, who is a citizen of Guatemala. It would not discuss the immigration status of the second student suspect Jose Montano, 17, because he’s a minor. But Leggett’s statement says both individuals have ICE orders against them.

If we don't get that wall up, they'll come right back.

Yes now they need to pay for their crime in an American jail and then when they have served 100% of their time we can send them back where they came from. This school district will be sued as it should be and the taxpayers in that county will foot the bill for their ignorance ...there is no 18 year old that should be a freshman in high school anywhere ...if you want to give them a free education put them in an night school but not in the same grade as 14 year olds. At what point would they age out of school 21? This is on the backs of that school district and whatever idiot signed the paper allowing them to register for school.

So glad to hear Montgomery County is ("cooperating) with ICE. This is what is called to little, to late. They should be held for aiding and abetting.

Two here need to be shot, how many more need to get on a bus to Mexico. Just get rid of the problem and we will be safer, and stop the terrorist "refugees" NOW. Then, vet them one by one.
