No fooling - Amazon will begin collecting sales tax nationwide on April 1.
The mega-online retailer already adds sales tax to good shipped to 41 states - including Alabama, which began collecting and remitting an 8 percent sales tax on Amazon purchases late last year. CNBC reported Amazon will start collecting taxes in Hawaii, Idaho, Maine and New Mexico next month, completing its list of states. Alaska, Delaware, Oregon, Montana and New Hampshire don't collect sales tax.
Brick and mortar retailers have long complained that online stores such as Amazon have an unfair advantage because they didn't have to charge sales tax unless they had a physical presence in a state.

Sucks...but it will still be cheaper than buying locally.
I'm very Unhappy about this. It seems like all we do is pay taxes, and now we're even paying them to Amazon.
Ummm, I hate to break it to them but Delaware doesn't have sales tax. What are they going to collect?
I thought that Delaware didn't have a sales tax.
They don't. Read.
Ummmm...read the article.
Another win for Trump!
Amazon has destroyed Sears, Macy's, J.C.Penney's and more by not charging taxes
If you think Trump had anything to do with this, you're more brainwashed than I thought.
