After Md. Woman Slain By Sex Offender Ex With Antique Replica Gun, Bill Seeks To Seal Loophole
BALTIMORE (WJZ) — From rejection to stalking to murder.
A deadly progression that’s been seen before, but this time it was made possible by a loophole in Maryland law.
Alex DeMetrick reports, convicted sex offenders aren’t allowed normal guns, but they can have antique gun replicas.
Sade Adebayo, 24, was murdered in 2015 by a man she had broken up with.
Donald Bricker Jr. confessed after being injured during a police chase.

Yes, lets focus on the guns and gun laws and not focus on the fact that this escalated from stalking and or harassment up to murder, which I am sure she called the cops on this man at least once if not more... It is always the guns fault right? not the cops or judges or anyone who could have stopped this mad man from killing this women... Knives, and forks and spoons can be a lethal weapon if someone wanted to use them in that way, so why are offenders no allowed to have those too??? Chemicals and even cars can be used as a weapon, a god damn pencil can be a weapon, why don't we just ban everything and anything?????
Oh my God! Maryland lawmakers forgot to regulate a gun! Holy crap!
So the guns used in shootings in Bmore every night are legal?
This is likely, by ALL statistics...the only crime comitted with an antique gun in MD. The MGA is dead set on making ALL guns illegal by making ALL citizens prohibited, and their changing these laws as fast as they can. There are currently 6000 current laws in MD that will make you "prohibited" from exercising your 2A right, even if youve ever received a PBJ for 1 of these 6000 laws!
Unless noted, combined numbers for '14 and '15 , combined numbers for the rifle and shotgun catagories, and combined numbers for Strangulation and Asphyixation, for stastical clarity.
Total Murder & Non Neglegant Homicide - 916
Rifles & Shotguns - 19 , 2.07%
Knives & sharp things - 65 , 7.1%
Blunt Objects - 29 , 3.17%
Personal Weapons
(hands, feet, elbows, etc) - 32 , 3.5%
Strangulation
& Asphyxiation - 18 , 1.96%
Total for body parts, and everyday, unregulated thingies
- 144 , 15.729%
Meaning that a Maryland resident is 7.58 times as likely to be killed by pointy things, everyday objects, or bare hands, than to be killed by a rifle or shotgun.
But what about endangered Women and Childrens ?
Md changed their definitions of Domestic Related Crimes effective start of 2015, so 2015 numbers only on this one.
Total DRC - 25,996
Total DRC using Firearms - 293 , 1.1%
Using the Md numbers for 2015 of R&S to firearms for murder, that would compute to 0.03% (0.000315) of DCR.
But wait, what about Maryland compared to rest of Country ?
Comparing '14 and '15 combined
USA - 4.05% R&S
Md - 2.07% R&S
Meaning in Md you are about half as likely to be killed by Rifle or Shotgun as elsewhere in USA . ( Excuse my earlier "less than half", one year was just under, one just over, final combined 51.1%)
Under the Federal Gun laws these old relics are not even listed or recognized as "Firearms", but in the Commie Country of Maryland, even a toy water gun is banned in OC.
Statistics have long proven, the more law abiding citizens have guns...the less crime in their neighborhoods and cities. MD's legislature is quickly removing guns thereby creating a hotbed of crime in MD...ad in the protected illegal immigrant sanctuaries.... please take the time to contact your representatives and voice strongly your concerns.
Baltimore, the typical, overpopulated, crime-ridden, progressive city on the East coast, will never allow the citizens of Maryland to arm themselves from the felons that the politicians protected through the laws that they pass.
360,000,000 handguns didn't kill somebody today in the US.
