BALTIMORE (AP) — A Maryland woman who says she needs to defend herself after being brutally attacked five years ago has filed a federal lawsuit over a prohibition on owning a stun gun.
Leah Elizabeth Baran tells The Washington Post (http://wapo.st/2kw4Jcx ) her ex-boyfriend, who was convicted of beating her in 2012, threatened to kill her after he’s released from jail.
Baran says she’s been preparing, including by purchasing a gun and practicing shooting. But Baran calls herself a begrudging gun owner and is suing because she’d rather be able to incapacitate an attacker with a stun gun.

just buy one.
There is no guarantee a stun gun will incapacitate an attacker. Too many people have bought into TV reality on self defense.
If a person is on some illegal drugs, especially PCP a stun gun is often worthless.
Just buy a JPX Pepper gun and it will incapacitate the victim, even on PCP!
No...wrong. Absolutely dead wrong.
.45 cal 230 grain Golden Saber guaranteed to put them down.
Dead people cannot sue you and destroy the rest of your life. Stunned, based, pepper sprayed, and otherwise injured by you people can take the rest of your life away.
Stay smart, and aim well. An extra bullet or two won't hurt.
