Unattended burning is not a good thing. The insurance company may agree and respond with a refusal to cover the loss.

That's a fairly upscale neighborhood to be burning trash, especially when there's a landfill within 5 miles.

If you recycle, there is very little trash that needs to be disposed of. Food scraps can be composted.
