Former Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley will join the other Democratic candidates in the next presidential debate, scheduled for Sunday in Charleston, South Carolina.
NBC News, host of the event, announced Thursday that O’Malley will debate alongside former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders, who are locked in a narrow race in Iowa and New Hampshire.
O’Malley was at risk of being excluded based on criteria released last week by the network requiring a candidate to have an average of 5 percent either in recent national polls or in polls in the early voting states of Iowa, New Hampshire or South Carolina. O’Malley has been polling at about 5 percent in Iowa, but is falling short of that in New Hampshire, South Carolina, and in national surveys.

Does he get to sit at the big people's table?
They need another body. Remember he said so much at ther last debate - virtually all he knows.
I think we'll all be watching football instead of that lame a.. debate. They really know how to schedule a debate so everyone can watch it I mean ignore it.LOL
I've noticed these debates have strange times. With the Republican debates, they've been on Thursdays or some other weekday other than Fridays, but the Democrats are on Saturdays when people are either watching Football or out for the night. Could it be they know the debates with Democrats is like taking a muscle relaxer with a wine chaser?
5:13 PM - too many would choose Dukes of Hazzard reruns to this.
qualifies for a debate but not to be on one state's ballot lol
Give it up, Martin!
