Every True Marylander Has Had These 10 Bizarre Experiences At Least Once

As a Marylander, you may have experienced some bizarre things that other locals can relate to as well. Some that are relatable and some that are downright unexplainable. Here are 10 bizarre experiences every true Marylander has had at least once.

1. You've started your day in a t-shirt, only to end up in a hoodie an hour later.

Maryland temperatures are fickle. Make up your mind, Mother Nature!

2. The utter shock when the weather channel calls for a "light dusting" and you wake up to this.
Yet, your boss still expects you to be at work on time...

3. Ordering crab cakes out of state, only to discover there's barely any crab meat in them at all.

NEVER order crab cakes outside of Maryland.

Another bizarre experience Maryland's have been experiencing in the past year is after upon someone finding out you are from MD, they ask you if you feel safe living there. This true if you go overseas. All they can picture are blacks throwing rocks at police officers and running rampant in the streets starting fires and overturning cars.

Even ordering crab cakes in Maryland is a gamble

757 I've had the same thing happen to me several occasions. I tell them avoid certain locations and certain groups.

Tell me where to get a good crab cake on the Eastern Shore any more that is not 1/2 filler / 1/2 crabmeat. I make my own and hope the crab is from the Chesapeake Bay and not LA. I have had them where the lump of crab in the crab cake is larger than the crabs you catch.

Most of these places on the boardwalk and even Phillips crab meat is from Singapore. When you think of Singapore is the first thing that pops into your mind "clean water".
Buy from the local spots where you see the work trucks drop off every day. If everyone on the Eastern Shore made a commitment to spend money locally whenever feasible our situation would improve dramatically for everyone.
