Assault Charge Dismissed At Lt. Rice Trial

After two days of prosecution testimony which included all witnesses who have testified at other trials and said the same thing on the stand here, there was plenty of new evidence introduced Monday as the state wrapped up its case, at the trial of Baltimore City Police Lt. Brian Rice, the highest ranking officer charged in the death of Freddie Gray.

After the state rested, Judge Barry Williams, acting on a defense motion, announced he would dismiss one of the four charges remaining against Rice,

The judge said that the state did not present enough evidence for him to even infer that Rice's failure to put Freddie Gray in a seat belt in a police van, led to injuries which make up the legal definition of an assault.

The judge also ruled there is no evidence to show that Rice worked with any other officer that led to an assault.

Time to remove this mess out of the courtroom.

The Tax Payer will be stuck with paying her lawsuit judgements. She should be held personally responsible for these judgements till they are paid in full. No bankruptcy to eliminate them either.

If Judge Williams doesn’t buy the reckless endangerment charge, then the involuntary manslaughter can't be proven.

The states own witness- medical examiner- says he was injured during the time he wasn't seated on the bench. They were transporting him on the floor in max restraints because he was acting out. The state hasn't even tried to get over the hump of proving he shouldn't have been transported like that. They know that will fall flat. So they're left with the nonsensical claim that he died because the police didn't fasten the seat belt on a seat he wasn't sitting on when he was injured.

Mosby who is inherently corrupt,(look into her family of police officers records) tried shock and awe overcharging to get the officers to plead to lesser charges and turn on each other. It didn't work out. Not only did it not work they all got competent criminal lawyers, unlike the flunkies and hacks she kept in her prosecutor's office after she purged it, who have layer by layer exposed her as a fake, liar, and incompetent. The officers and their lawyers stuck together. The public interest law professor complaint is the first step to disbarment. All of the attorneys in her office should be disbarred also as no officer of the court should have anything to do with her and should have quit by now as many have. Every single prosecution that has come out of that office since Freddie Grey should be reviewed as questionable.
