OMG, yes, happens ALL the time. The other thing they do is only keep cash registers open at one end. If you came in the wrong door, you have to walk all the way to the other end to get checked out. Stupd, so stupid.

We all know that walmart sucks

Common sense says why shop in a place that causes a rise in blood pressure. Walking is good for you - you walk all over that store than complain you have to walk to a cash register at the other end. This USA has much bigger problems then closed registers at Walmart. Crying the blues on a blog does no good in changing store policy.

That's why I only go there as a last resort!
Good luck finding someone to help you if you have a question or if you are trying to find an item.

Try to watch the register as they are ringing up your items....have had two instances recently at Walmart and Sam's Club where they rang up the same item twice. Was told by an employee that this happens often.

Lots of large store brands frequently have most registers closed at certain times. I am sure it has to do with balancing customer service and profitability. I am not a fan of standing in line but I am glad all these stores are here to serve me when I need them and are not closed due to low profitability. I am sure you are too.

Banks do the same thing. Luckily, the new walmart near me has almost as many self checkouts as registers.

They used to have a policy that is more than 2 people or something like that, were in line they would open a register. Not anymore. In the meantime I get in lines where thieves of the government are using WIC Checks and they have one for bread, one for milk, one for cheese and oh wait, it's the wrong sized bread, I have to run and get the right one. Then they process each one by hand and have to log it into a book. Then they get their $300 worth of groceries on an EBT card and they run over so they have to put the some snacks back and keep the beer. It's just horrible in those lines.

Then you have the cashiers that are so slow and they pick each item up one at a time and read it then ask the person questions about it. Every items starts a discussion. It is terrible there with poor employees.

Then you get out in the parking lot and the glass jars start falling through the holes in the bags and shatters on the pavement.
