Princeton Prof: Transgenderism ‘Superstitious Belief’

A noted Princeton University professor has attacked the very notion of transgenderism, saying that the belief “that a woman can be trapped inside a man’s body” is ludicrous and superstitious, with no basis in medical fact.

Robert P. George, the McCormick Professor of Jurisprudence at Princeton, sent out a tweet late Sunday evening questioning the science behind the transgender movement, in reaction to the Obama administration’s threatening letter to educators mandating accommodation of gender-confused teenagers.

There are few superstitious beliefs as absurd as the idea that a woman can be trapped in a man’s body & vv. But in the Age of Feeling . . .

George, who is also the Chairman of the US Commission on International Religious Freedom, sent our another tweet warning of the effects of the Obama letter on parents’ rights to educate their children in a safe environment.

With Obama’s bathroom edict, the right of parents to direct the upbringing and education of children is in graver peril than ever. Vouchers!

George’s concerns over the transgender movement echo the recent statement by the American College of Pediatricians, which argued forcefully against encouraging young people to question their own biological sexuality.

I agree with this, though I don't see it as 'superstition'-- more like a mental condition. These people are maladjusted and need therapy.

Bummer and here Jimmy Ireton spent all those years thinking he was Debbie Campbell stuck inside a man's body.

Chemical imbalance is at the root of almost every mental condition.

"..Chemical imbalance is at the root of almost every mental condition.."

Correct. And it frequently has to do with B vitamin deficiencies.

I think there are hormone imbalances involved here as well, likely related to nutritional deficiencies.

I truly believe that you are born a Heterosexual or Homosexual and I respect that. But believing that you were born the wrong gender is just beyond me. I'd like to have a perfect body and be drop dead beautiful but I'm not perfect and that's ok. Be thankful for what God gave you people it isn't meant to be changed. Have some respect for your parents and grandparents. This is a FAD that has gotten so out of control by Hollywood and the Media.

It is past time to wake up.
