Court records show that the 69-year-old man took the identity of man deceased since 1994 to get social security, VA and other Federal, state and local benefits since 2012.
Police report that Rene Ortiz Quintana has been in the United States illegally for about 50 years. They say that in October of 2012 he took the identity of Ruben J. Gallardo, a man who has been dead since 1994.

In this era of computers and this happens is incomprehensible. This proves the Government does not care how they spend tax dollars, how inept Department / Agency heads are or how down right stupid the Government workers are. The Government wants to create a National Registry for gun owners. They cannot track dead people and void their SSI # or follow their Military records to stop fraud. All Agencies need a forensic audit, but then the Politians will not like that. Wonder why, because that will show they are inept on controlling spending. Called spend spend spend and not accountable.
These dead people are voting, you know. Time to update voter rolls before November.
And yet my friend who is not well cannot get his Soc Security. It seems to me that the nuclear plants are not the only federal government agency being run on floppy disc.
