BERLIN — Berlin Main Street will be holding an art raffle and Burley Oak Brewery will have several fundraisers of cup and shirt sales to benefit the first Berlin Fireworks display on July 3.
Kate Cashman has donated one of her paintings, valued at $300. Each raffle ticket will be sold for $5 with only 500 raffle tickets available for sale. This gives everyone a one in 500 chance to win. Contact Kate Cashman at 443-880-3050 for tickets.
Burley Oak Brewery will sell its “American Pint Glass” shirts with all of the proceeds from the shirt sales going directly to the Berlin Fireworks Fund. Shirts may be purchased at most downtown events and at the brewery. Additionally, souvenir cups will be sold at the events with the proceeds from the cups going directly to the fireworks. You would think all those fashionable new downtown businesses would fund the fireworks display. The added attraction to the Berlin area is going to benefit the downtown businesses more than anyone else. Seems they don't have their act together. If they have a Lions Club, it doesn't have a clue.
Call Mike Dunn, he did such a great job the Lords gave him the job of President/CEO of the Greater Salisbury Committee.
I remember when I was last in Berlin they had some of the best fireworks I ever saw! I was there in 1945, they were great!
That's a great idea!!! Why Does THE Town ALWAYS have to fund fireworks? ? Let the people donate or whatever they need to raise money.
With the amount of taxes they charge shame on them for asking.
