Mitt Romney, the 2012 Republican nominee, says he is voting for Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz because doing so is the best way to keep Donald Trump from winning the White House.
“This week, in the Utah nominating caucus, I will vote for Senator Ted Cruz,” Romney wrote in a Facebook post. “Today, there is a contest between Trumpism and Republicanism. Through the calculated statements of its leader, Trumpism has become associated with racism, misogyny, bigotry, xenophobia, vulgarity and, most recently, threats and violence. I am repulsed by each and every one of these.”
Romney, however, said that he’s less interested in Cruz being the nominee and more interested in seeing another Republican getting the nomination at an open convention.

Romney wasnt loved as a child. Thats why he needs all this attention
They fail to realize that they are the cause of the individual voters' disgust with the status quo.
If we wanted the establishment, Rubio would not have dropped out - he would be ahead. We saw the same establishment and bought-off politics that we see in every establishment candidate - and we're sick of it.
Go ahead and take Trump's nomination away from him at the convention - and prove the basis for our ongoing party disgust....or get behind him and try to change the party by representing the people that elect you!
I would say either way - an establishment Republican candidate will not win this cycle - do we want four more years of the current POSOTUS administration? Or worse, four years of downward spiraling socialism?!
Who gives a rats arss what Romney says. He is a big reason Trump is going to be our next President. We, the silent majority, are no longer silent.
Go away Romney
I truly hope people realize why so many of congress is trying to stop Trump....it's because he isnt one of them.....he's not a congressional crook and gang member, ...and in all likelihood Trump will stop them in their tracks once he's elected. America needs Trump far more than we realize!
Way to stand up for your candidate, mitt. (admitting he'd rather see another candidate & an open convention.
GO HOME mitt!
