Law Day program May 2; appointments are required

Area attorneys will be on hand Monday, May 2, to offer seniors free assistance on creating an Advance Directive.

The attorneys, members of the Wicomico County Bar Association, are providing this service in partnership with MAC Inc., the Area Agency on Aging, in observance of Maryland Law Day.

The attorneys will be available from 10 a.m. to noon and from 1 to 3 p.m. at MAC Inc. This free service is being offered to those age 65 and older, and is available by appointment only.

Participants are asked to come prepared with the name, address and phone number of the person designated to honor their health care wishes. All forms will be provided.

An Advance Directive is a written document meant to reflect your health care preferences should you become incapacitated and unable to make such decisions for yourself.

Appointments are required. To make an appointment, call 410-742-0505, ext. 118.

Space is limited, and those interested in participating are encouraged to call soon.
