Arizona Hero Charged With Second Degree Murder

But is still not only on the loose, but merely on “administrative leave” from his job as a Hero. This Hero shot an unarmed man five times, killing him, over a called-in report of a gun. Which turned out to be a pellet gun:

A Mesa, Arizona cop that shot and killed an unarmed man in January has been charged with second-degree murder.
Maricopa County prosecutors said Friday that the determining factor in the January 18 shooting death of Texas resident, 26-year-old Daniel Shaver, will be police body-cam footage.

Officer Philip Brailsford shot Shaver five times after police received calls from a Mesa hotel saying that someone in Shaver’s room pointed a pellet gun out of the window.

If you have a pellet gun then you are not unarmed, you are lacking in sanity and firepower. From 10 feet out, a pellet gun looks just like the real thing. Pointing it at an armed person, be it police, concealed carry or someone protecting his property and safety, is cause to get shot.
