(CNSNews.com) – Abortion survivor and pro-life speaker, Gianna Jessen, shared her thoughts on abortion and disabilities at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) on Friday, telling CNSNews.com that our culture has “forgotten the beauty of adversity.”
Jessen survived a late-term saline abortion and was diagnosed with cerebral palsy, a condition she calls “a tremendous gift.”
Jessen said that she wanted to share her story at CPAC because “it’s important to talk about the value and beauty of the unborn and, having survived an abortion, I think I have just a little bit of a different perspective than some people on the issue.”
CNSNews.com asked Jessen, “During your testimony before the House [of Representatives on Sept. 9, 2015], you described your cerebral palsy as ‘a tremendous gift to you.’ Could you say more about that, why you describe it that way?”
