Talking about crime , I did a little research this morning , Wicomico county has a population of just over 101,000 with Salisbury having around 31,000 of that .
The average police calls for the county each day is around 120 with around 75 going to the city and 45 going for the rest of the county.
It seems as though the city gets more calls with less than a third of the population. Very interesting ! I wonder why?

Here are a few reasons:
Denser traffic (more motor vehicle accidents)
Demographics
Denser areas of widespread poverty
Denser areas of potential victims (businesses, individuals, homes)
Denser areas of potential customers (drugs, etc.)
Criminals can walk or bike, no car necessary
70%+ residential rentals (neighborhoods fractured and vulnerable)
There are lots more.
Look across the street frim SPD and behind the salvation army,Thugs.
When you see certain thugs riding bikes late at night there Up too no Good.
