So what happened to the 'intent' BS. People have been found guilty of DUI for merely starting their automobile for heat or A/C and never moving the gearshift lever. Total and unequal BS brought to you by your local LE and their judges.

No way.....if you are not moving and your keys are no in your ignition you are not driving. If I get to a sports game and park my truck, and then start to drink two or three beers before I go in am I drinking and driving.....certainly not. Guess what......cops have to catch you committing the crime...intent is nonsense.

How in the hell does 'keys in the ignition' equate to driving? Only in the minds of corrupt LE and their judges does it exist.

Ha,ha 2:03. Keep telling yourself that. Ever hear of conspiracy to commit.

I was always told if you have keys in your possession you have the ABILITY to drive, therefore you can be charged. it's all a bunch of bs

'Conspiracy to commit', when used here, is just as corrupt as the rest of this BS about 'keys in the ignition'.
If garnering heat or A/C were available w/o 'keys in the ignition' you'd have a leg to stand on. Otherwise it's corrupt legalize and a product of a nefarious system.

Let me see if I have this right.
If I'm sitting in my motorhome in a shopping center, where I've gotten permission to overnight, and I'm running the engine to keep batteries charged, you cops in Maryland can charge me with DUI if I'm having a few highballs before bed. Is that WTF I'm reading here? And your judges will find me guilty? Is that what I'm seeing?

Good thing none of you are attorneys.

Up until now the person was guilty because he or she "had control of the vehicle". People were DWI cited for just being in the car with the keys - some even sleeping in the back seat.
It's about time somebody got it straight!

No, because its private property. If u were parked on the street, then yes.

Had a friend of mine that got a DUI while he was mudding in a field that he owned. The judge told him that even tho he wasnt a threat to anyone else, he was still a threat to himself. Off to jail he went.
