Absolutely.

I do not allow my child to use any of these. That is so disrespectful and doesn't teach them anything.

7:20 am, Why is the ability to clean up after themselves disrespectfull? Helping to clean would teach so many things like independence (being able to take care of yourself), respect for others (cleaning up after yourself- not leaving your mess for someone else), working as a group (to accomplish a task cleaning with the rest of the family), pride in a sense of accomplishment, and it would get them into the real world. I'm sure others could add to this list. We started with our sons early , giving them age appropriate tasks turning out Men who can do all the 'Manly' things (I could add to the above list of tools) plus look after themselves and a family. One Son runs his own business while his wife takes care of twins. He comes home from a long day and is able to help around the house cooking, cleaning, or helping to take care of his children. The other son just went to college but I've shown up unexpectedly and seen a clean dorm room.

My wife won't even use one of those.

There might be a few that our kids can't even identify.
