Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio is sending his armed citizen posse into shopping malls to help keep shoppers secure from criminal and terror attack during the Christmas season.
But Sheriff Joe also highlighted the important roll concealed carry permit holders will play in Maricopa County:
"The volunteer posse can’t do it alone, so with nearly 250,000 Arizonans carrying concealed weapons, terrorists with evil intent entering large gatherings, including shopping malls, should be worried about armed citizens who will be ready to defend themselves and others."

That won't end well.
Won't end well for the islamic muslim terrorist.
Can you be more specific 9:33?
It seems Sheriff Joe has a militia of sorts organized. I wish Mike Lewis would spear head something like this. I would not mind being part of a community organized militia or even a neighborhood watch. Or he could allow volunteers to be part-time deputies. I am very concerned for our safety in this county. We need more responsible people carrying guns and if we cant get a CCW permit through legitimate and legal means I see deputizing citizens as a way around that. If mike Lewis is as pro-2nd amendment as he claims he should have no problem with this. Just a thought.
1:26 PM has a valid point! Our Sheriff could deputize a whole bunch of us who are willing to volunteer in the time of need.
Just what we need, a bunch of vigilantes that use skin color and clothing a as a basis for illegal activity.
3:07pm another idiot that thinks the problem will solve itself(aka the government has it all under control). Keep stuffing Pringles into your face by the fist full and let the adults talk.
There must be a reason you don't have a CCW permit. Suits me fine. I know people that have been issued CCW and in 2015. Why don't you have one? I'll take care of my family and properties. I think Glen Beck is on, you better go tune in....
3:07 are you saying robbery, breaking and entering, assault, domestic violence, public drunkeness and gang-related violence is NOT an "illegal activity"? Damn, how long have you been out of jail?
