Here’s How Some Republican Presidential Candidates Reacted to Obama’s Oval Office Address

Republican presidential candidates took to the Internet Sunday night to offer their thoughts on President Barack Obama’s rare address from the Oval Office on the threat of terrorism — which also stressed gun control.

Front runner Donald Trump was characteristically matter-of-fact:

Sen. Ted Cruz noted on his website that “nothing President Obama said tonight will assist” in destroying the Islamic State or fixing immigration.

Marco Rubio appeared on Fox News and noted Obama’s “cynicism,” saying he was “very disappointed” in the address and feared that instead of making things better “he may have made things worse.”

Almost everything he said was old hat from him. To me the most revealing part was when he wanted congress to stop people from getting assault style weapons. That ramps up the rhetoric to a new level. Not just people with a mental illness. Not just people with violent criminal histories. ALL people. He justified the statement by saying that there was no way law enforcement can tell who may be planning to do something bad with them so lets stop all people from having them.

Remember in the Bible when Cain shot Able? Me neither....because there were no guns then. In fact thousands and thousands of years have passed before guns were invented during which millions of people have been killed by other people. Should we outlaw knives? Clubs? What about cars? More people are killed in automobiles every year than are killed by others using firearms to commit murder. (No, suicides don't count). Do NOT be fooled by those who wish to disarm the population.

But why do people keep saying WW3 is coming or unavoidable? It's here and it's been here for some time.

I have been fighting supporting Trump for months now however, I have come to terms with the fact that he is indebted to no one and I believe that our nation is at a pivotal point that drastic change has to happen. It is going to take someone out of the same mold who isn't concerned about pleasing the establishment and status quo, who is an independent thinker, who is willing to state his mind without concern about who might be offended, whose reputation is that of one who sees it as it is and makes decisions by what he sees. As much as I dislike the his demeanor, arrogance or it might be self confidence, showboating, I have decided Trump is the only candidate from either party that fits the bill. I will hold my nose and vote for him with the anticipation that he will deliver what he is promising.

Obama didn't say that it was he who signed off on the "fiance visas" that a person can acquire online with no background checks.

obama's such a tool, such an all obeying slave boy to the liberal agenda. He's not a leader, he's a slave boy who does what he is told to do without fail or question. Only a loser and a fool would still support the tool.
