Seaford, DE – Troopers are investigating a home invasion that occurred in Seaford late Monday night.
The incident occurred at approximately 10:10 p.m. Monday September 28, 2015 in the unit block of North Street Extension as a 31 year old male was in his shower when he heard a noise and was then confronted in the bathroom by two black males and a black female. All three suspects were armed with unknown type handguns and pulled the 31 year old from the shower. The victim was then thrown to the ground and kicked multiple times before being struck in the face with a gun and then had his hands tied behind his back. The subjects then demanded the victim’s money, which was located in his pants pocket, and removed an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspects then fled out of a rear door to the house in an unknown direction. The 31 year old was not injured in the incident and did not request any immediate medical attention.
The two male suspects were described as being 5’10” – 6’00” tall dressed in all black clothing with black masks and gloves. The female was described as being 5’06” – 5’07” tall dressed in all black clothing with a black mask and gloves. Detectives have determined through preliminary interviews and investigation that this was not a random act and believe the victim may have been targeted in the home invasion.
