The only law that needs to be passed to cover cases like this is one that prevents me from paying increased costs due to their competition for upcoming Darwin awards!

7:25 AM and the uninformed speaks up. Why's it not a comparison? Because you need food to live? You should educate yourself.
But it is genetic!
Have you ever seen a person addicted to eating? It's as deadly as drugs are.
overeating and allowing yourself to become grossly obese will kill you or cause multiple other health problems and will negatively affect you life the same as any other addiction does and will. That is the definition of addiction, not being able to control something that affects you negatively.
