A bartender in Nebraska said she was shocked when a truck driver left a $1,000 tip after closing his $89.72 tab.
Kari Anthony is a bartender at Quaker Steak and Lube in Grand Island. While working the evening shift last Thursday, she engaged in conversation with one of the customers.
“He was paying as he went and I let him know that he didn’t have to cash out every single time, and if he wanted he could put everything on a tab and cash him out at the end,” Anthony told the Grand Island Independent.
The man was a truck driver who had just finished his shift, Anthony said. He had a few people around him and paid for their meals and drinks as well.

Many many waitresses who get huge tips never say a word about it.For most,a heartfelt "thank you" will suffice. The person who gives them the tip really doesn't want a big deal made over it most of the time.
It's nice to let others know about
a kindness given.
