“Troopers remind the public that the first priority to reducing the risks of becoming a victim of crime, is to become aware of your surroundings and utilize situational awareness when out and about, but also at home. Do not answer the door for strangers, and be on the look out for suspicious activity in and around your home, to include the neighborhood that you live in. Call the police to reports suspicious activity or something out of the ordinary.”
Troopers offer the below general prevention tips that can be used to reduce the risk of becoming a victim.
1. Lock all doors, windows, and garages at all times, when you are home. Criminals look for houses with the easiest entry.
2. Secure your home with solid doors and deadbolt locks. The exterior doors should be metal, metal clad or solid wood, not hollow core.
3. Keep exterior of home well lit.
4. Install a peephole so that you can verify who is on the other side of the door. Never open your door to strangers or solicitors.
5. Install a monitored alarm system with a “panic” feature. If you have an alarm system in your home, activate the perimeter doors and windows while you are in the home. If someone attempts to gain entry, the alarm will sound, giving you time to escape.
6. Keep a cellular or cordless phone available to call 911
6. Have an escape plan in mind for your family. Train family members on where to go and what to say. This plan should include your children. If someone can escape, the invaders will have lost their advantage of privacy and time.
7. Report all suspicious activity to police. If you see something out of the ordinary, call.

What??
This sounds as if the "victims" were arrested too, and charged with home invasion too? It said two males entered the home, where a man and a woman were watching a movie.
But three men and a woman were charged? I don't get it. I bet it was over drugs though, one way or another.
Their despicable behavior is unacceptable to my people, and must not be tolerated nor condoned.
That must be from the undisclosed items. Cops are gonna steal the dope and leave enough for evidence. What a racket this country has become.
6:15 - the girl knew the two robbers. She may have had a hand in setting the robbery up.

Cute, but not for long.
Once she got nabbed for providing false I.D. and outstanding warrant, she pretty much flipped these two guys. She might get a reduced sentence or modification of charges for testifying against them.
Stfu officer. Every post that speaks the truth about you cops your lame ol response is clueless. We aren't all sheeple that cluelessly support you tyrants! If you can't see the people are aware of your ways and tired of it...... Your the clueless one! I suggest getting another job. One you officers are really geared for. Proctology! Or flipping burgers.
Sounds like some serious alcohol-fueled anger, there, pal. Self-medication isn't the answer for you, it seems.
Your daughter was guilty get over it
You are a moron.
I really don't understand the anger toward this police in this matter! But, last Wednesday night someone tried to enter my home. It was around midnight, I was still up watching tv, heard my screen door to the deck slide two times, then I heard someone trying to turn the door handle. I freaked out and ran to my sons room. Where I then called 911. The police came and walked around my house to make sure everything was ok. FYI: found my screen door 1/2 open. Thank GOD for the police, I wouldn't have felt comfortable coming out of that room. My sister just informed me of this story this morning, the one guy, Mr Bacon looks very similar to a man that was going around my neighborhood over the past couple months handing out business cards, he came to my house 3x's in a three to four week time frame. According to the article he would have been in jail Wednesday night so it's possible it could have been Mr Jenkins out on his own. Not sure if he is the guy, gonna look to see if I still have these cards, if so, it might not be his real name. People want to bash the police, but who are you gonna call when someone's trying to break in Your house?!
