DEWEY BEACH — Dewey celebrated July 4 with fireworks, but it was a 30-foot-by-60-foot American flag flying all day at Northbeach along Rehoboth Bay that stole the show.
The huge flag could be seen across bay and towered over the crowds in Dewey. It was flown to raise money for Sons of Amvets Post 2 of Millsboro.
Lewes resident Alex Dera owns the flag. He said Alex Pires, Highway One president, contacted him a few days before the holiday to see if he wanted to participate.
“We had a great day,” he said.

To bad it's not the Confederate Battle Flag!!
Even town, city and borough across the USA should be flying flags like this every single day.
The towns down south should be flying the Confederate Battle Flag!
White house needs to take a lesson from this one
