Talk-radio host Michael Savage, who has a Ph.D. in epidemiology and nutrition from Cal Berkeley, says the continued confusion and negative reporting about fish oil supplements is part of a “war” carried out by “Big Pharma.”
The major drug companies, Savage told WND, are going after fish oils to peddle cholesterol-reducing drugs such as Lipitor.
“They are on a warpath against all non-prescription supplements that work better than drugs,” Savage said.
The supplements are “safer and cheaper than drugs and bad for their business.”
The Washington Post reported Wednesday the National Health Institute’s mixed message on its website. On one page, the NIH endorsed taking fish oil supplements, saying they are likely effective for heart disease. But on another it suggested the supplements are useless: “Omega-3s in supplement form have not been shown to protect against heart disease.”

How many people have died from taking supplements of any kind or had bad side effects. The answer is very few.
"Big Pharma" and the government wants complete control over every citizen in this nation.
Most people are finally catching on that supplements really do work. Even some docs are coming around.
Case closed.
Every mass shooter was on a big Pharma pill.
They always use this "have not been shown" argument, pointing to 'double-blind placebo controlled studies' as the only acceptable proof. But since you can't patent a vitamin or mineral and make billions from it, nobody is willing to spend the money to do such studies (though some actually have been done).
The money that is being made just from cancer drugs is staggering.. so do you think Big Pharma will allow a return to the use of intravenous Vitamin C for treatment? It was frequently used successfully in the early 20th century.
A psychiatrist (Abram Hoffer) gave vitamin B3 in therapeutic doses to hundreds of patients with schizophrenia and psychoses, and many became completely normal.
And what about ADHD? Appropriate supplements and a diet free of sugars, dyes, preservatives, etc. has worked wonders in most cases.
The drug industry will continue to trot out poorly-conducted studies to try to discredit the role of proper nutrition and supplements. There'$ a lot at $take for them.
Do they care more about you or their bottom line?
You be the judge of that.
