HELENA, Mont. (AP) — A Montana man has applied for a marriage license so he can legally wed his second wife.
Nathan Collier of Billings said Wednesday that last week’s U.S. Supreme Court decision legalizing gay marriage inspired him to try to force the acceptance of polygamous marriages.
He says he’ll sue the state if his application is rejected.

He is right. I love this slippery slope that we created. Fair is fair. Our moral fiber as a country has been decaying for a long time. Next someone will try to marry a kid. We never should have gone down this road but since we did its going to be a free for all.
This was expected, and based on the Supreme Court's reasoning for the validation of gay marriage, polygamy will qualify too.
This was very predictable, the supreme court has now joined Obama in trying to destroy what little bit of morals that the US still has.
And it starts. Seen this coming!
No it won't 12:12, but I am glad someone filed this so when it gets shutdown people will understand the difference.
I'm gonna marry myself! The tax benefits from that along with the best sex I ever had and no complaints if I cheat. All my money is mine! Omg! I'm so stoked!
Probably next will be people marrying animals if Obama has any say!

I don't see how this is any different than gay marriage in the eyes of the court. If they are all consenting adults how can the government refused them? This opens the door for the muslims to have their 4 wives.
All the figures for the free handouts will have to be reconfigured. In stead of a 1 or 2 parent household you could have 100 wives or husbands.
They wanted equal protection, they get equal protection. The crazy liberals canrt see past their own ignorance.
Didn't take long for that one to pop up!
Who can afford more than one wife?
@2:02 how is this any different from gay marriage from the courts stand point? Elaborate please. This is the issue at hand, once you make it ok for a specific group or individuals to marry then why should it be illegal for polygamists to marry more than one spouse if that is their true belief? Why should it be illegal for a predator to marry a child if that is their belief? Obviously they are not in the same boat as one is illegal. But as far as the courts ruling goes they, sort of, are. The courts ruled on beliefs and rights of individuals, not law or facts. Therefore people like this have a decent shot at making their case. I am not against gay marriage, it is none of my business who you date or love. That is your own belief, but couldn't any religion or group make that same case?
@4:27 you have the best question, bud. I sure couldn't.
sounds like double jeopardy
Consenting adults then who cares, what is the problem? It is certainly biblical.
Biggest problem I see is the rich guys will get the best and largest groups of wives (Donald Trump) and normal guys will get the dregs that are left.
They would have to make it so all the people agree with it. You can't just have the husband/wife thinking it ok to take a second (or more) spouse if the other doesn't agree with it.
If two men can marry. A man should be able to have a flock of wives. IMHO. Marriage is no longer procreation it's about $ and perverts. Remove all tax benefits, I don't want my tax spent on it or brainwashing my kids in school.
When "Marriage" becomes (became) anything other that pro-creation and raising offspring in a family unit, it ceases to be "marriage" by definition, and all perversions need to be included.
And unions made for the purpose of procreation and raising offspring in a family unit will need a new name, and be between the couple and their Church, and friends and family.
