MONCKS CORNER, S.C. — An F-16 military jet and a Cessna 150 private airplane collided Tuesday morning over Berkeley County, Federal Aviation Administration spokesman Jim Peters confirmed to the Post & Courier.
There are reports of parts on a roadway.
Multiple reports say the military jet is an F-16, according to the Post & Courier. Air Force officials at S.C. bases have not confirmed whether the jet is based in the state.
The S.C. Air National Guard reported that none of its planes are believed to be involved in the accident.

Hope they didn't hit the flag and pole in question .
Then again , maybe the air force sent an F-16 in to shell the flag.
Oh God! Please tell me that one pilot isn't white and the other black. Or one is wearing a flag or has one at his house. And oh ...god forbid one has guns. No more private aviation. It's a threat to national security.
Private plane probably flew into restricted airspace. Private pilots should always check update map sectionals.

Did you sitcom church this weekend? People have lost loved ones. An American solder may be dead. But you keep acting childish. I would pray for you but I am betting on yiunthink you already are saved
The sad fact is that some people want to blame race for everything bad that happens when in fact race has nothing to do with it. Al Sharpton would be down there in a heartbeat if he could blame some white folks for the crash.
It's the confederate flags fault.
Restricted air space? So is the river over Vienna restricted? No it is not yet jets scream up and down that river!
Yiunthink that people wouldn't try to say some racist redneck did it on purpose to make a statement against the government? Yiunthink im childish? What is sitcom church? I think you need to slow down and think outside the box. Or Wipe your chin.
I don't see a 1:15 comment 2:19 !
"...So is the river over Vienna restricted?..."
There are different categories of "restricted" airspace. The area over the Nanticoke River is included in the PAX River area of operations. It is not active 24/7, however.
